CONTROL YOUR SPEECH

A gentle tongue [with its healing power] is a tree of life.

PROVERBS 15:4

The bible says that if a person can control his speech, he can curb his entire nature: "For we all often stumble and fall and offend in many things. And if anyone does not offend in speech [never says the wrong things], he is a fully developed character and a perfect man, able to control his whole body and to curb his entire nature" (James 3:2). 

No one is completely mature in the Lord, so there is always room for improvement. If your mouth is out of control, other areas of your life will also be out of control. Give your speech to God today. Ask Him to direct the words you speak, and allow Him to fill your mouth with words of life that life up everyone around you. 

If they don't chase you when you walk away, keep walking.

Next time a stranger talks to me when I'm alone I will look at them shocked and just whisper quietly, "You can see me?"

You cannot save people, you can only love them.

I want to write "I miss you" on a rock and throw it at your face, just to make you realize how much missing you hurts.

Maybe you have to stop waiting for someone to come along and fix what's wrong. 

Maybe you have to muster up all the strength you have and find the courage to do this on your own. 

Maybe sometimes you just have to be your own hero and say: "I can do this"

they say 'opposites attract' but i think people like us fall in love with people like us. we fall in love with ourselves. i think it takes more than just anyone to be with one of us. we see the deeper parts of people. we long for their souls, for their gardens of thought, for feeling their backbone, their spine, inhaling the words they breathe. we see more in people because of what we know ourselves. i think we fall in love with people like us, people with beautiful words, and thoughts, and glances at strangers and artistry. we can't just wake up in the morning and go to work. we want to lie in bed, count the freckles on our shoulders, how many times a rain drop hits the window. we breathe differently. we strive off of beauty that is why we cannot settle, for just anyone, who's different. there's got to be a person we find beauty in. who thinks, and feels, and wonders. as remarkably as we sometimes do. i think we fall into people who are a lot like us. because they understand, appreciate, relate and know the way we experience and feel. and i think that is important. they say opposites attract, like magnets, they are pulled, from different places, ending up together. but we don't need opposites, or magnetic force. we are on the same side, north or south we do not need to be pulled together. we are already there.

Whatever you give a woman, 

she is going to multiply. 

If you give her sperm, she will give you a baby. If you give her a house, she will give you a home. 

If you give her groceries, she will give you a meal. 

If you give her a smile, she will give you her heart. 

She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her. 

So - if you give her any crap, you will receive a ton of shit.

I might not be someone's first choice, 

but I am a great choice. 

I may not be rich but I am valuable. 

I don't pretend to be someone I am not because I am good at being me. 

I might not be proud of some of the things I have done in the past, 

but I am proud of who I am today.

Imagine meeting someone who understood even the dustiest corners of your mixed-up soul.

If we are not meant to have midnight snacks, why is there a light in the fridge?

Because there is nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it is sent away.

One day you'll meet a guy. And ultimately, he is going to find out. How you chew, how you sip, how you dance, how you smell at every point in the day. How your face looks underneath all your makeup. How you love chocolate, how you can be hyper at times, how certain games and shows make you really happy. How cranky you can get when you are tired, how you think you look bad in all your photos. He is going to know everything about you. And you know what? He is still going to love you.

Many people say they are empty.

But I am too full. Full of memories, fears, hope, love and anger. I have too much inside myself. I have a heart that is getting too heavy to carry around. 

I feel so much I cannot have peace.

People were created to be loved. Things were created to be used. The reason the world is in chaos is because things are being loved and people are being used.

I don't know if you've ever felt like that. That you wanted to sleep for a thousand years. Or just not exist. Or just not be aware that you do exist. Or something like that. I think wanting that is very morbid, but I think I want it when I get like this. That's why I'm trying not to think. I just want it all to stop spinning.

Get a clear intention, let go of controlling the outcome, and trust that everything is happening perfectly.

All gardeners live in beautiful places because they make them so.

Happiness is a decision. You are as happy as you decide to be.

I think it's very healthy to spend time alone. You need to know how to be alone and not be defined by another person.

The only breaking up we do is when we're breaking up the weed.

No matter how much you think you hate school, you'll always miss it when you leave.

We've agreed on a change is what you need and I think this may help. A wise man once told me:

Imagine your life, the wait it is right now, as your chained to a rock with a 10 ft chain. So there is a 10 ft radius you can walk in a circle around this big heavy rock and that is your comfort zone/current situation. Whilst your in it, you're not even aware you're attached to it.

Then one day you see something 20 ft away that you want. The change in your life. In your case getting rid of your current relationship and feeling okay about doing it and happy. In order to get there, you have to drag this rock there. It is going to be hard work, painful and chances are it will take a while. But once you are there you have created your new comfort zone and you will become happy there again..

Change is often painful and takes time to get where you want to be again. You must expect the pain and often loneliness buy know that it is the short term price you pay for long term happiness.

A beautiful garden does not magically spring up out of the earth. You may find a bunch of pretty wildflowers along a roadside, or an errant orchid in the woodland, but a garden requires a kind of choreography. Someone has to choose the plants, place them lovingly into the dirt, water them, nurture them, and care about them. Your are expecting something magical to spring from a relationship - and it can. But first you will have to do all the hard work that's required to create that garden. You will reap what you sow.  

Dear Human: You have got it all wrong. You did not come here to master unconditional love. That is where you came from and where you'll return. You came here to learn personal love. Universal love. Messy love. Sweaty love. Crazy love. Broken love. Whole love. Infused with divinity. Lived through the grace of stumbling. Demonstrated through the beauty of...messing up. Often.
